Two homes on the 700 block of Livingston Avenue were burglarized during Fall Break.

A 26-inch flat screen television was stolen from a six-person home located on the corner of Livingston and Clarendon Street. Two doors leading to the kitchen were kicked in when Syracuse University seniors Jessica Yarmarkovich and Samantha Hartley returned from Fall Break on Saturday.

Hartley, an English and textual studies major, and Yarmarkovich, a civil engineering major, notified the police, who then searched the home with a canine. Only the television was taken, but lights upstairs were turned on and the kitchen appeared to be rummaged through.

Yarmarkovich and Hartley’s landlord, Christian Seemann, could not be reached to comment. Sgt. Tom Connellan of the Syracuse Police Department said on Sunday he didn’t have details on the burglaries.

Residents at another home on Livingston also confirmed they were robbed but declined to provide further comment.
