Baldwinsville man indicted in credit union robbery

An Onondaga County grand jury on Thursday indicted a Baldwinsville man accused of robbing a bank near Syracuse University in late December.

Nicholas Fiorini, 20, was indicted on four counts: second-degree robbery, third-degree robbery and fourth-degree grand larceny  — all felonies — as well as misdemeanor petty larceny.

Syracuse police arrested and charged Fiorini with robbing the SEFCU branch at 721 S. Crouse Ave. on Dec. 20. The credit union is next to the Orange bar and Hair Trends. He’s also accused of robbing an M&T bank in the Town of Manlius three days later.

Police found Fiorini at a Clarion Suites about 15 miles away from the bank they say he robbed in Manlius.

The indictment states Fiorini got away with about $1,400 from the SEFCU branch. The document doesn’t say how much money he took from M&T bank.

A clerk at Onondaga County Court said Fiorini’s next court date hasn’t been set.
