Syracuse-Fairleigh Dickinson match postponed due to travel plans, weather
Syracuse’s tennis match against Fairleigh Dickinson, which was scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, has been postponed due to potential travel concerns, SU Athletics announced Saturday evening. A new date for the match has not been determined yet.
Fairleigh Dickinson opted to postpone the match due to weather forecasts for the Binghamton, New York area, which is where the team was staying after playing Binghamton on Saturday, an SU Athletics representative said.
Instead of traveling to Syracuse as planned, the team will return to campus, the representative added, to avoid the predicted 8-12 inches of snow that will hit central New York.
The match will be rescheduled for a to-be-determined date sometime after Fairleigh Dickinson appoints its new head coach Monday, the representative said.
