Poll: How safe do you feel on campus?
Syracuse University was on lockdown for about two hours Wednesday night as police searched near Oakwood Cemetery on Comstock Avenue for suspects in a homicide. The lockdown started at 8:28 p.m. and lasted until 10:35 p.m. When the lockdown ended and an Orange Alert declared the emergency no longer existed, the suspects had not been apprehended.
As of 6:04 a.m. on Thursday, police still had not caught the suspects, the Department of Public Safety said — nearly 11 hours after the shooting took place.
