After Syracuse finished undefeated in the month of January, both Abby Moloughney and Jessica DiGirolamo were given CHA monthly awards. Moloughney earned CHA Forward of the Month, and on the other end of the ice DiGirolamo received CHA Defenseman of the Month.

Moloughney started off the month by earning All-Tournament Team honors at the ‘Battle at the Burgh,’ where she had two goals against Boston University and a goal and an assist against St. Cloud State. In the four following conference games, Moloughney tacked on three goals and four assists to help a Syracuse offense that outscored opponents by an average 2.5 goals in January. She was named CHA player of the week for the second time in the month.

DiGirolamo, the program leader in goals and points by a defenseman, also earned All-Tournament Team honors in Pittsburgh. She totaled three assists and blocked four shots to anchor the defense in the two games Syracuse played.

Against RIT, DiGirolamo helped Syracuse post a shutout 3-0 win in the first game and recorded an assist in the 5-2 win of the second game. She also recorded two assists in the series sweep over Lindenwood. DiGirolamo now has earned three Defenseman of the Month honors, as she won the award in both October and November.
