Book talk with Syracuse University Life Trustee Nick Donofrio
Syracuse University Life Trustee Nick Donofrio (G’71, H’11) is returning to campus on Tuesday, March 21 to talk about his autobiography and the insights he’s gained during his six decades in business and technology. Donofrio is the former executive vice president of innovation and technology at IBM and will talk about his experiences with management, diversity and inclusion. Donofrio will also be signing his book “If Nothing Changes, Nothing Changes.” The event will take place in the Schine Student Center from 12:20-2:30 p.m.

Sex Is Like Pizza
Pizza is the new sexuality paradigm. Hosted by Peer Educators Encouraging Healthy Relationships and Sexuality (PEEHRS), this discussion session focuses on ways to communicate about sex in an open and healthy way. The event will take place at the Barnes Center at The Arch on Tuesday at 6:45 p.m.

Cozy Cappella
This Forever Orange Week, head to Goldstein Auditorium for the annual Cozy Cappella showcase. A variety of a cappella groups will perform, and the event will also offer cookies and cocoa to attendees. This event will be on Tuesday from 8-10 p.m.

“Fooling the Experts: Three Forged ‘Seventeenth-Century’ Venetian Songbooks”
Dr. Marica Tacconi, Distinguished Professor of Musicology and Art History at Pennsylvania State University, will speak at SU this week as part of the Art and Music History Department’s colloquium series. Tacconi’s talk will dive into several Venetian songbooks, originally thought to be preserved music from 17th century Italian composers, which were revealed to be forgeries in the early 1900s. The talk will be offered both in-person in Bowne Hall 309 and on Zoom on Wednesday, March 22 from 10-11:30 a.m.

Lunchtime Lecture: “Dreams Deferred”
Associate Professor of Art History Sascha Scott and MA Art History students will hold a lecture on their exhibition, “Dreams Deferred: Reflections on Liberty, Equality, and Sovereignty in U.S. Art.” This exhibition highlights the idea of freedom in artwork in the United States. It will take place at the SU Art Museum on Thursday from 1-2 p.m.

21st Annual Preliminary Drag Show
SU’s annual drag show will kick off with a preliminary round on Thursday, March 23 from 8-10 p.m. The Vixen, one of the stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race, will host the show. Four finalists from the primary round will go on to perform in the finals on April 25.
