Boeheim, a 6-foot-5, 170-pound shooting guard ranked three stars by 247sports.com and chose SU over Gonzaga and Massachusetts, among others.
During the summer EYBL circuit, Boeheim shot 48 percent from 3 and averaged 12.2 points per game. His play earned interest from the 2017 NCAA Tournament runner-up Gonzaga.
Boeheim averaged 26.3 points and 9.8 rebounds per game for Jamesville-DeWitt (New York) High School. He was named All-CNY Player of the Year and transferred to the Brewster Academy in New Hampshire for his senior year.
He is the second commit in the Class of 2018, joining five-star and ESPN’s No. 9 recruit Darius Bazley.
